The Cause - London

I traveled here for the Illian tape party and was rather frustrated with a few details. Security was very in your face and rather strict upon entry so it gave me a feeling of distress vs a release of dancing. It was a day and night ticket and there were no ins n outs, that's rather brutal and should be reconsidered.

Here's where proverbial doodool hit the fan; a digital DJ just finished and a vinyl DJ came on and the sound team absolutely dropped the ball on levels. Almost lost my mind as the energy on the dancefloor was rather disturbing. Not the end off we wanted but at least the indoor party was proper, albeit boiler room vibes. The staff at the bar and the bathrooms brought light to the party but the details of sound need maximum attention. They do provide water for free and that's much appreciated so leave hydrated. I heard it's a newer venue and they're still working out the kinks so hopefully it delivers upon my next return.

The venue itself is pretty good, great outside stage, the inside room is a little sweat box, the toilet system needs redesigning, £12:30 for a double but they use cheap alcohol that taste horrible, I’d be happy with normal house spirit but this taste cheap. Didn’t see any problems with security. The venue hosted the event really well, great atmosphere

Was at the GuyJ event Lost and Found. Outside venue is perfect, but the inside venue is hot enough to boil eggs. Kindly fix some aircons please. This is the 2nd time I went there, was there for ADID, as said, outside venue is perfect!! Promoters should decorate the venue as they want and I don’t blame on the venue. Toilets were not clean and most of the reviews say the same. Drinks - double shots 12£ and others 6£. Water 3£. Bar Staff is great.

The venue itself is cool. Very industrial.

The security had one jobsworth (lady with dark hair and accent - maybe Spanish, not sure) who charged me £5 late fee even though I was in the queue before the time and just putting suncream on that they supplied which made me "late". No one else got charged!
ONLY ME OUT OF 10 FRIENDS! Not sure why she cared so much as not like she gets the fiver. If you see her, RUN to security guards who were chill. Ruins the experience before its began so that's why it's only 3 stars.

It needs more toilets! The queues were massive.

The indoor venue needs more ventilation as super moist.

There is food being sold around somewhere but not very obvious where.

Overall it was fine. Taxi at end of the night take ages, provbably best to walk a little away to get picked up.

I went here for the first time on Friday. The sound was great and the venue provides free earplugs. Reminded me of clubs in Berlin, giving the club quite a unique vibe. The setting was cool too, being beneath the DLR tracks and next to the river. The toilets though were some of the worst I’ve seen in 10 years going out in the city, I’ve seen better at festivals. I’m not sure this place is at all accessible for anyone with mobility issues. The stairs were not lit and I saw many people having issues with them.

I have been to The Cause twice now, both times to see HAAi, one of my favourite DJs.

The club itself is a bit grotty, reminiscent of Berlin, but I think it adds character on the whole. The general industrial vibe and location makes it seem more “hidden” than most other places in London. The late opening times (6am) is also refreshing when many places are shutting their doors earlier nowadays.

I would definitely go back to The Cause, as it has good sound and a unique atmosphere. Both times I have been, I have found space to dance pretty easily. But I guess it depends on the night as I don’t think the events I attended were sold out. They sell food too which is perfect if you need to refuel during the event.

However, two words of warning:
1. The guys’ toilet cubicles are really gross, and there are only two of them. Luckily there are some urinals outside, but be warned if you need anything other than a wee.

2. The cloakroom is really inefficient. We waited a long time to put our items away, and it was even worse coming out. My friends joined the queue at 04:30 and were still in it at 05:10. Really disappointing end to the night when all you want to do is get home and rest after the rave!

Sparkle Amina

This venue is so cool. Love how they’ve used storage containers as the rooms. Events there are wide and varied. And the customer service is super good. Staff are friendly and fun. Love how they get into the vibe of the event and dance along whilst being rushed off their feet.

When the sun is out, this is the perfect venue for a day party! The view of the city skyline with the cable cars lit up at night is incredible!
