My husband enjoyed the mineral pools. They have a lot of pools with different temperatures for everybody. I recommend buying a pass for the weekend and in advance. We enjoyed a wonderful massage, too. I found it overpriced, but we were already there. We stayed with our RV at Pagosa Campground, only 2 miles away.

Out in the cold, feeling wet, at the Hot Springs

Wow this room was shabby. Probably converted a work shed into a room a few years back. Couch and ottoman look like it was picked up from a bulk trash day off the curb. Kitchen table and stools so uncomfortable and poorly placed they were basically unusable. No other chairs than the dingy couch and unstable bar stools. Oven belched smoke when trying to use it as a toaster (hint no toaster) because it had not been cleaned properly. Kitchenet was sparkly stocked, dish towel was never replaced even after leaving a note and tip. Beach towels were taken on the first day, never restocked, and again, even with a note asking for replacements. Go to the grocery if you want to use the Keurig, never restocked the pods. When calling the front desk it rang and rang, then went to voice mail. Called from an outside line, someone picked up but unable to transfer us to the person who could help book a massage.

That said, the hot springs were great. But eventually, especially in winter, with dirty or absent towels, wet robes (started out nice but thankfully they just left us the wet ones instead of taking those with the beach towels), no morning coffee, and no place to comfortably sit, you start to feel a little left out in the cold.

Absolutely incredible experience. I booked 3 treatments during my 3 night stay at the resort, and it was the best money I spent during my vacation. Everyone I encountered was incredibly nice and helpful. Jess helped at the front desk with a great attitude and smile. My magnesium muscle melt with Rosie felt so good - it was my first full body treatment and she made me feel so comfortable throughout the experience. My Pagosa River Stone massage with Ann was relaxing and very therapeutic. I asked her to give special attention to my neck, which she did perfectly. And then on my gosh the facial with Morgan. This was absolutely divine. She not only tailored product use and the facial to what my skin needed, but also provided a light arm/chest massage. It may have been the most relaxed I've ever been. I will return to Pagosa Springs just to get more treatments from her!!

Overall, the spa was the best part of my experience at The Springs Resort. On my next visit to the area I will likely not stay at the hotel, but will 100% be coming to this spa.

Wow! Amazing hot springs, amazing resort. Every employee was personable and worked hard to make the experience perfect. If you stay in the mountain deluxe rooms the springs are right out your door like a back yard!

24 hour access if you stay at hotel to hot springs! I pushed myself to see every sunrise from a soaking spring and it was amazing!

Margaritas are perfect, and there is service directly to the pools!

Sodie at The Springs Spa is fabulous and deserves a 10 star review!! After showing up exhausted and tense from a road trip, her massage felt like heaven and was exactly what I needed to unwind! Thanks Sodie! ? I also want to shout out to Jess at the front desk who checked me in. She was so sweet and juggled the phone, and people walking in all at once like a pro! Pagosa is one of our favorite hot springs so we'll be back for sure!

Our Epic Field Trip

We were there on a Tuesday in late August and did a day pass with the additional Relaxation Terrace package. The grounds are beautiful and everything is well maintained. There's a variety of seating options but it's best to go first thing in the morning or late afternoon if you want your pick and to get spots with any shade, even on a weekday. The food and drinks on site are good. The Relaxation Terrace area was disappointing as they squeeze those 5 pools into a relatively small area and the seating is primarily high-top tables -- not very relaxing. When it's warm, you don't really need the robes. If we come again, we'll probably just do the general admission day pass without the Relaxation Terrace. Staff are mostly very friendly. Parking is very limited. All in all, we enjoyed the day.

I had a very nice facial with Theresa. She had a very soothing touch and used all natural products on me. Great thing about the spa services is that if you buy a spa service, you get a day pass for the springs and the river.
